Yes, that is where a sliding window is the right choice, because the pane never projects outside the van. Measure the free area between the door ribs.

VanSlide or VanSlide+?
VanSlide+ is double-glazed with a light tint, better against cold and condensation. VanSlide is single-glazed with a dark tint for privacy.

Can I leave it open when I leave the van?
