Product details

The SVR is the model built for a straight swap: it keeps the footprint and front panel of the Dometic and Carbest compressor fridges many vans were converted around, so it drops into an existing cabinet without recutting. It is also the low-consumption model of the range, drawing 20 to 25 W in real use, with a −18 °C freezer compartment.

Power and wiring

The SVR runs on your leisure battery, 12 V or 24 V, wired straight to the distribution box. It draws 20 to 25 W in real use, about 2 A on a 12 V circuit, or roughly 40 to 50 Ah over a full day. The 40 W on the label is the compressor's maximum, reached only when it is pulling the cabinet down to temperature.

What you will need

A 12 V or 24 V supply with a fused cable from your distribution box
The 230V to 12V adapter if you want to run it on mains

What's in the box

1 × SVR 50 L compressor fridge, hinge side as chosen at order
Door-reversal kit
Not included: the 230V to 12V adapter (optional, for 230 V mains)

Compatibility

Vehicles: campervans and motorhomes
Dimensions (H × W × D): 53 × 38 × 49 cm · weight 16.8 kg
Same footprint and front panel as the Dometic and Carbest compressor fridges it replaces: fits the existing cut-out without recutting
Power: native 12 V or 24 V DC, wired to your distribution box; 230 V only through the optional 230V to 12V adapter

Frequently asked questions

Does it fit in place of my Dometic fridge?
Yes — it keeps the same footprint and front panel as the Dometic and Carbest compressor fridges many vans were converted around, so it drops into an existing cabinet without recutting.

Can it run on 230 V?
Not directly: it is a native 12/24 V fridge, which is what makes it efficient on a leisure battery. On a campsite socket, plug it in through our 230V to 12V adapter.

How much battery does it use?
About 40 to 50 Ah a day on 12 V in real use.

Is it approved for a campervan conversion?
Yes — CE and ECE R10 (electromagnetic compatibility for vehicles), accepted for conversion approval across Europe (e.g. VASP in France, TÜV in Germany, ITV in Spain), in the UK (DVLA, MOT) and in Switzerland (MFK).
