Eighty-five litres is where a van fridge stops being a compromise for campervans and motorhomes: 72 L of fridge for a full week's shopping for two, plus a separate 8 L freezer. The SVR keeps the format and front panel of the Dometic fridges it replaces, so it slides straight into an existing cabinet.

Frequently asked questions

Can it run on 230 V?
Not directly: it is a native 12/24 V fridge, which is what makes it efficient on a leisure battery. On a campsite socket or at home, plug it in through the 230V to 12V adapter.

Is it approved for a campervan conversion?
Yes — CE and ECE R10 (electromagnetic compatibility for vehicles), accepted for conversion approval in the UK (VCA) and across Europe (e.g. VASP, TÜV, ITV…), and Switzerland.

How much battery does it use?
Roughly 40 to 50 Ah a day depending on outside temperature and door use, which a 100 Ah lithium battery and a 150 W solar panel cover comfortably in summer.

Can I choose which side the door opens?
Yes: pick the hinge side when you order, and a door-reversal kit is supplied so you can change it later if your layout changes.

Will it fit my existing Dometic-format cutout?
Yes: the 85L SVR keeps the same format and front panel as the Dometic fridge it replaces, so it slides into an existing 63 × 47 × 54 cm cabinet.
