Many conversions fit one of each: a skylight over the living area, a vent over the kitchen or shower.

2The size is the cut-out

Also check the roof thickness range on the product page: 25 to 80 mm depending on the model.

Why permanent ventilation?

It is an airflow that never fully closes: it keeps the air renewed, it is required for homologation by many approval bodies, and it holds condensation down. Look for the orange tag in the tables above.
